OUR ONLINE BOOKING POLICY

As of October 1, 2023 our clinic is no longer accepting new or first-time patients for Therapeutic Massage treatments, who have not been referred to our practice by one of our clinic’s approved referral partners.

PLEASE NOTE: This policy change does NOT apply to new or first-time patients seeking Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) or Lymphedema Treatment.

OUR CANCELLATION POLICY

Your appointment time is reserved just for you. As a late cancellation or missed appointment leaves a gap in our schedule that could have been filled by another patient, we require a 24-hour notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment.

Patients who “no show” or cancel without providing a 24-hour notice will be charged 50% of the scheduled treatment price.

Please Note: Insurance receipts cannot be issued for missed appointments or late cancellation fees.

Manual Lymph Drainage (aka Lymphatic Massage)

Manual Lymph Drainage is a relatively gentle modality that is designed to help people who have swelling (i.e. inflammation, edema) due to: • Lymphedema; • Recent surgery (i.e. orthopaedic, oral, plastic/cosmetic, etc.); • Trauma (injury); • Arthritis; • Allergies or Sinusitis; • Pregnancy; • Chronic bloating or heaviness in the body (due to fluid retention); and/or • Health condition... Manual Lymph Drainage is a relatively gentle modality that is designed to help people who have swelling (i.e. inflammation, edema) due to:

• Lymphedema;
• Recent surgery (i.e. orthopaedic, oral, plastic/cosmetic, etc.);
• Trauma (injury);
• Arthritis;
• Allergies or Sinusitis;
• Pregnancy;
• Chronic bloating or heaviness in the body (due to fluid retention); and/or
• Health conditions that cause OR are caused by fluid retention like: acne, varicose veins, anxiety & depression, and headaches.

****PLEASE NOTE: We do NOT offer Deep Pressure or 'Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage' (i.e. MLD designed for weight loss, body contouring or ‘slimming'), wood therapy, ultra sound, ultrasound cavitation, radio frequency, decompression cupping and/or taping methods for BBL post-operative recovery****


MLD & Bandaging for Lymphedema

This treatment includes: Manual Lymph Drainage to specifically address the symptoms of Lymphedema; the application of short stretch compression bandages to the affected area of the body; and education regarding the proper self management of Lymphedema.

PLEASE NOTE: THE COST OF ANY AND ALL BANDAGING SUPPLIES USED IN THIS TREATMENT, WILL BE CHARGED OVER AND ABOVE THE FEE FOR TREATMENT.


Lymphedema Assessment & ADP Authorization for Compression Garments

Lymphedema assessments are an important part of managing the symptoms patients experience. Having an assessment done prior to surgery will provide you with a baseline that can be used to monitor and track any changes in your body post-surgery, and often results in better treatment outcomes. Lymphedema assessments are an important part of managing the symptoms patients experience. Having an assessment done prior to surgery will provide you with a baseline that can be used to monitor and track any changes in your body post-surgery, and often results in better treatment outcomes.

For individuals, who have already been diagnosed with Lymphedema, being assessed by an ADP approved authorizer will help you to determine the exact type of compression garments you need to effectively manage your Lymphedema symptoms, and is a required part of the ADP application process.
